Pastors’ Retreat

Dear CoaH,

We had three days of a beautiful pastors’ retreat this week. All twenty-one pastors from KM and EM, full-time and part-time, were present except Pastor Tim who had to self-isolate due to COVID-19. We had a wonderful time getting to know the newcomers and saying goodbye to pastor Joshua Park (KM), who served our church for fourteen years. In August, he will start as the senior pastor of Somang (Hope) Presbyterian Church.

The last pastors’ retreat we had was in 2019. It was great to come out of the pandemic shell and renew our fellowship in person. We read 2 Timothy together. What the apostle Paul taught Timothy is still relevant for us today, no doubt, but we tried to see what his words would mean for us in the 21st Century.

I was so thankful to God for giving us the gift of the Young Nak Retreat Centre. What a facility! I encourage all of you to use it personally this summer. There are two prayer cabins available for you to come and pray anytime. If you want to use the inside facility for a personal retreat, we can also arrange that. Please speak to Pastors Tim or Kyu. I was so grateful for several church members who came to the Retreat Centre to cook lunch and dinner. Thank you! We felt so loved and appreciated. This past week was a fantastic week for the pastors. It was time to renew our passion for the Lord and reconnect with all our pastors.

May the LORD bless you and keep you safe.
