I am Visiting Cambodia.

Dear COAH,

I am in Cambodia right now. It has been five years since I visited last. Everything is familiar. After a rather quick and simple entry process, the familiar faces of Anne Chun and Suk Bong Choi awaited us outside the airport. I was so happy to see them again. Here were the faithful servants doing some amazing work in Cambodia!

The hot and humid climate certainly caught my attention. Even though it was close to eleven in the evening, the temperature still hovered in the mid 30’s. But praise the Lord. We got to sleep in a nice, air-conditioned hotel room the first night.

The familiar sight of Living Fountain Centre came to our view as Anne drove us to the orphanage. It opened on May 5th, 2011, and since then many received loving care from our missionaries and staff. Vichuta was one of the first children who were entrusted to the centre’s care (see the photo below). Today she has grown to be a wonderful child of God and a university student majoring in education. Anne tells me that raising kids like Vichuta was not an easy task, but thoroughly worthwhile. Vichuta must be grateful that Anne was there when she needed a mother figure.

“Altogether ten kids from our centre are now studying in university,” Anne tells me. Another fifteen are studying in university also, and they come from nearby villages. They are the proud results of the centre’s after-school program. Some of you Coah folks invested so much time into them and look what you are reaping. Let us keep them in our prayers. Pray that those who are studying in universities will dream dreams for the Kingdom of God and be the bright agents of change for Christ in Cambodia.
