Special Early Morning Prayer 2025
Dear COAH,
There is a tradition at YoungNak Church where we have special early morning prayer for the first two weeks of the new year. Encouraging our members to start the new year in prayer. COAH has also been meeting the past two weeks during the weekdays at 6 am.
This year, we brought back the prayer cards, where people wrote down their prayer request(s) and those who came to EMP pray for them. After their prayers, people were able to write words of encouragement. It was a great way to pray for others, to broaden our care and love for our church. I’m hoping that in 2025, we become more of a praying church, sharing our burden and showing our care for each other, by continuously praying for one another.
For those who missed the New Year’s Eve service where we prayed over our church, here are the official Young Nak Prayer topics for 2025. Let us continue to lift up these prayer topics throughout 2025 (These were translated from Korea).
Let us pray:
1. "A Church filled with the Gospel and the Love of Christ" (Philippians 1:6): May all members deeply experience the gospel and love according to our 2025 slogan and bear fruit that serves the world.
2. For Pastor Jeon Dae-Hyuk, the 4th Senior Pastor: Strengthen Pastor Jeon as he begins his ministry. Help him discern Your will and vision for Toronto Korean YoungNak Church in this era and lead a dynamic ministry. Grant him a leadership of love, service, wisdom, and humility.
3. For Pastor Emeritus Song Min-Ho, the 3rd Senior Pastor: Bless Pastor Song with health and guidance in his ministry. Use him continually for Your kingdom even after his retirement. Through his itinerant missions, may many churches worldwide experience restoration and healthy growth.
4. For All Pastors, Elders, and Church Leaders: May they fully carry out their ministries with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Grant spiritual gifts to all members serving the church through various ministries. Help every committee and department to diligently preserve the unity of the Spirit.
5. For the English Ministry (City on a Hill): May it grow further in the Word, prayer, and love. Bless its diverse and dynamic ministries with abundant fruit. Through English-speaking members, let the gospel and love flow into the Toronto community and to the nations, expanding God's kingdom.
6. For Every Generation in the Church: From children, youth, and young adults to adults and seniors, may each generation grow through care and nurturing suited to their unique needs and be used for God's kingdom. Let creative and diverse ministries bring about a rich history of God's work.
7. For Our Mission Fields and Missionaries: May restoration and revival occur in the mission fields supported and partnered with our church. Strengthen the missionaries we send, including Anne Chun, Choi Seok-Bong & Jang Ae-Kyung (Cambodia), Park Seong-Min & Jeong Hee-Jin (Dominican Republic), Lee Doo-Seong & Lee Mi-Ryun, Lee Young-Cheol (Nicaragua), Oh Hwa-Soo & Park Hue-Young (Japan), and others. Provide for all their needs.
8. For Canada and Korea: Guide Canada’s leaders to govern the nation in alignment with Your will. Protect Canada’s political, social, cultural, and economic realms, making it a country that pleases You. Stabilize the turbulent political situation in Korea. May Korean churches experience complete restoration and become instruments of true hope in society. Bring about peaceful reunification and proclaim freedom to the people of North Korea. May wars around the world cease swiftly, and peace be restored.
COAH will continually meet on Saturday at 7 am for Early (not that early) Morning Prayer, and our next special EMP will be during Passion Week (April 14-18, where we will meet at 6 am). It would be great to see more people come to pray.
