No More Seating Limits

Dear Church,

No more seating limits

I have good news to share with you. Following the Ontario government’s recent announcement on loosening restrictions on COVID-19, our church will lift seating limits on Sunday worship. This change applies to all Sunday services including Delta Hi-C. We have now returned to the pre-pandemic worship schedule except for children’s worship. Once our children are fully vaccinated, we can also open children’s worship as well. Starting from Sunday, November 7th, there will be no need to pre-register for worship. As long as you are fully vaccinated, there is no need for social distancing either.

There is one thing, however, that all of us must follow. In-person Sunday worship will be open to ONLY those who are fully vaccinated. When you come to church, please bring with you the COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination issued by the Ontario government. The ushers will look at them and make a vaccination pass with your name on it. You will only need to pull out and show the vaccination pass when you enter the Sunday worship service. This will make the entering of the building a lot safer and faster. If you are not vaccinated yet, I STRONGLY encourage you to get vaccinated. If for medical or other reasons you cannot be vaccinated, kindly continue with online service until further instructions are given.

We are coming to the realization that COVID-19 is not going away anytime soon, so we are better off adopting the idea that this virus is going to be with us for some time and that we need to learn how to live with it. So long as there are no serious outbreaks in Ontario, we will continue to open every aspect of our lives. As for our church activities, we will soon be able to use all the church facilities. I am eager to see the library, the gym, the cafeteria, and the classrooms open soon. The Young Nak Retreat Center is partially open for now, but I hope to see it open fully soon. I pray that we will restore the joys of in-person worship and recover the spiritual momentum needed for missional living.

May the LORD bless you,

Pastor Minho Song
