New Pastor
Dear CoaH,
I am pleased to announce that pastor Kyu Park is joining our community as associate pastor. He starts today, much to the delight of all of us, as we have been praying for the right pastor to come. Pastor Kyu comes with extensive experience in serving the immigrant churches in Toronto. He will help guide our congregation well as we move forward in the interdependent path we have chosen with KM. He believes in EM and KM working together for the Kingdom of God.
We also welcome Janey and their two children. Janey grew up at Young Nak. I was her youth pastor. Wow, how fast time flies! Pastor Kyu will be in charge of providing pastoral care to our families while pastor Tim will work with the Poiema and the Emerge members. Other responsibilities will be shared including preaching.
I want to thank all of you for your patience and prayers for our pastor search during the last six months. It took much longer than we had hoped, but in the end, we believe that God is in complete control. Please join me in welcoming pastor Kyu and Janey. I am excited about what God has in store for us. I wish I could introduce pastor Kyu in person this Sunday, but I am in New York City at the moment, speaking at one of the churches here. Well, we can now get back to more fellowship and interaction as the pandemic is losing its grip on our lives. Let us recover the fervency we had in praying for those who are far from the gospel. I pray that we will once again commit ourselves fully to the task of world evangelization (something we talked about last night in our Lausanne Covenant study).
May the LORD bless you and keep you safe.
Pastor Minho Song
