Let Us Pray for God’s Intervention.

Dear CoaH,

Let us pray for God’s intervention.

Did you see the body of a slain soldier in one of the Ukrainian cities? The image of an abandoned body lying on the road was on the internet worldwide. Had Putin held off the decision to invade Ukraine, that soldier would still be alive today. But because of Putin’s murderous decision, someone’s son, someone’s husband, and possibly someone’s father is not coming home anymore. Putin’s decision to destroy Ukraine sent so many people in panic and fear.

Many people prayed to avert the crisis in Ukraine, but God did not intervene this time. We don’t know why God did not overrule Putin’s heart. We also don’t know how everything will pan out at the end. But one thing we believe is that God will punish all evildoers in the end. Putin landed a sucker punch on all of us. He said he had no desire to take over Ukraine. He had said he only wanted to protect the lives of those who are pro-Russian in the eastern border region of Ukraine. But it did not turn out like that. The whole of Ukraine is in crisis now.

it seems that the forty-four million Ukraine lives did not matter to him a bit. His decision to invade Ukraine will go down as one of the shameful acts in history. I read somewhere that Stalin’s mother and Putin’s mother were devout members of the Eastern Orthodox Church. It is too bad that their faith could not curve the violent personalities of their sons. Some predict that there will be five million refugees from this crisis. We should remember the Ukrainian people in our prayers. We should also not forget many Russians who do not want their country to go to war against Ukraine. Many have protested on the streets of Russia and are now arrested. Let us pray during this dark time that God will intervene.

May the LORD bless you and keep you safe.
