Introducing the Interim Pastor
Dear Church,
As you know, the LT spent some time last year looking for a pastor for CoaH. We came very close, but it did not work out in the end. So here we are again, back to the task of finding the right person. In the meantime, I am pleased to announce that our dear friend and member Don McIsaac will serve our community as interim pastor for the next three months. We hope to find a pastor during that time, but Don is willing to help us longer if we need more time.
So, let me share with you what I asked Don to do for the next three months:
1. He will do a round of visitation (online only until the Omicron situation calms down) for all families and provide much-needed pastoral care. Pastor Tim can then focus on the Poiema and the Emerge. I will get a weekly update from Don on how our families are doing.
2. He will be part of the preaching rotation, as he has done guest-preaching in the last few months. He will also help us teach God’s Word when we set up teaching classes.
3. He will help us with our overseas missions, especially in maintaining the relationship with Jarak Center in Kyrgyzstan and the Transformation India Ministries (TIM) in Bihar, India.
4. I am very grateful to Don for stepping up during the difficult transition. He will start on February 1st. Please pray for him as he serves our community. Also, pray that our pastoral search will yield suitable fruition. Last but not least, please take care of yourselves. I hear of our church members down with COVID-19 left and right. Thankfully, it has not led to hospitalization or death. But we must be careful always. Please take good care of yourselves.
May the LORD bless you and keep you strong!
