Raising Valuable Leaders!

Dear COAH,

Raising Valuable Leaders!

Our church started the Living Fountain Foundation NGO in Kampong Speu, Cambodia, 13 years ago. The orphanage and the Learning Center have become an integral part of the community. The Learning Center offers the after-school program to enrich the academic lives of children and teens living in several villages around our orphanage. The Center has consistently taught English, Korean, music, computer, and other courses. As a result, not only have the students' educational aspirations increased, but the number of young adults dreaming about their future has grown. What's more, it's beautiful to see several of them returning to serve the Learning Center after graduating from university. My trip to Cambodia last week confirmed that. Yes, we are raising valuable leaders for Cambodia. Let me share three individuals:

Tida (27) is from a nearby village. She has been attending our center where she learned Korean and English and met Jesus as her Saviour in the process. She is one of the first university graduates from her village to work in a regular job and is now the manager of the  Learning Center. Last year, she went to Malaysia to complete a management course and continues to expand her horizons.

Sovanarut (25) also learned English through the Learning Center and also met Jesus personally. He graduated from a regular university and transferred to Phnom Penh Bible School, where he is currently in his last semester. This brother's English is amazing. Everyone complimented him on how well he translated my sermon last Sunday. He is seriously praying about whether to pursue the pastorate in the future. Currently, he is serving as a youth leader at the Light of Life Church.

Vichuta (23) came to our orphanage when she was young. She had a hard time adjusting, but she has done really well. She met the Lord at the orphanage and became the first university graduate (majoring in education) from the Living Fountain. She is currently looking for a job with several resumes in hand. Vichuta also holds important leadership positions in the Light of Life Church. We pray that they will be great workers for God's Kingdom in the future.

In the meantime, let us give a big round of applause to the missionaries and staff who have patiently and lovingly guided them and helped them come to faith. I am also grateful to our church members who have supported this ministry with prayer and finance. All glory to God for raising up the Christian leaders in Cambodia through the Living Fountain Foundation (JFF)!

Blessings,
Pastor Minho Song
