Working Together for Lasting Results

Dear Church,

I began as the lead pastor of City on a Hill on August 1, 2003.  Prior to that, I was the youth pastor for eight years.  When I took on this role, I was but a wee lad — just 34 years old.  Now, with my upcoming departure, I was reminiscing about my first sermon.  Well, here it is (click here).  As I looked it over, I was shocked at how short it was — just over 2400 words.  Now, my sermons are somewhere between 3500-4100 words.  The sermon is a bit rough, but I believe the message is just as important for us in the months to come as it was back then.  I hope it will guide our church as we move forward together.

Soli Deo Gloria
Pastor Peter
