The membership process begins with a simple application and interview with one of the pastors. Then you will join our membership class which is a one day session held quarterly. Please note that you must be baptized or confirmed in order take the class.

can i take communion?

We celebrate communion once a month at City on a Hill as a demonstration and remembrance of the perfect life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ for us. If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ and have been baptized or confirmed, we welcome you to join us at the table. If you are not yet a Christian, we ask that you refrain from taking communion. Your children can join us to observe, but not to participate.

can i be baptiZed?

Baptism is a sacrament, a holy ordinance of the church that was instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ. It was His direct command that we are to baptize all who believe in Him. It is an outward sign of the inward cleansing that was done to us through Christ’s death and resurrection. You should be baptized if all of the following applies to you:

  • You were never baptized as an infant

  • You were never baptized as an adult (14 years or older). Baptism is to be administered only once in a person’s lifetime

  • You have repented of your sins and trusted in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection from the dead

What is confirmation?

As Presbyterians, we believe that baptism is to be administered to the children of Christians. Many of you were baptized as infants and you have now come to the point in your life where you want to ‘confirm’ the faith that your parents planted in you. You should be confirmed if all of the following applies to you.

  • You were baptized as an infant

  • You are over 14 years of age

  • You have repented of your sins and trusted in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection from the dead

Do you offer counselling?

Our church offers counselling for our members. Pastoral counselling is a place where people come to receive clarity, tools, and direction to deal with difficult issues, decisions and losses. It offers a safe and confidential space to share and receive professional, Biblical help and counsel.

You may schedule an appointment with any of the pastors. Please contact our office for more information or to book an appointment.
